Our client, a leading Manufacturing Company is looking for a Sourcing Analyst. This is for an initial duration of 12 months and is located in East Hanover, NJ

Job Description:

The Sourcing Specialist, works in cooperation with the Global or Regional Spend Area teams to support the development and execution of sourcing practices for selected Spend Area packages, across North America Corporate and Professional Services. The key activities include interaction with cross functional stakeholders to manage spend and market analytics, generating insights from bid events, preparing supplier negotiation materials, supporting project execution and supplier relationship management, and driving controls and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
Assist Spend Area Manager, with strategic planning, and the execution of Sourcing practices:
  • Define requirements and templates for analytics and market intelligence support from the Sourcing Analyst pool.
  • Support the continuous improvement and standardization of the strategic sourcing processes
  • Analyze spend base-line, Spend Area profile, and market insights to support the development of Spend Are and supplier strategies.
  • Support Negotiation strategies in alignment with the Spend Area manager, and ensure proper documentation thereof.
  • Coordinate with the Sourcing Analyst pool to provide support on sourcing events, e.g. bid event preparation, supplier communication, negotiation decks.
  • Perform supplier analysis, to support the supplier selection process- including: supplier screening financials and capability.
• Execute end to end Sourcing projects, in alignment with the Spend Area Manager:
  • Manage the Procurement Strategy implementation or Sourcing execution.
  • Perform Supplier selection and fact-based negotiations, validated by the Spend Area Manager.
  • Provide support to Regional initiatives
• Support stakeholder engagement, collaboration of teams, and supplier relationships:
  • Support the Spend Area Manager in the identification of key stakeholders.
  • Actively engage with Stakeholders, in alignment with the Spend Area Manager throughout strategy development and the execution of the end-to-end sourcing process.
  • Support global supplier relationship management (SRM) program for the assigned Spend Area.
• Coordinate operational interfacing and interactions:
Interface between the global Procurement organization and the product development, planning and supply teams in the regions or countries in alignment with the global Spend Area Manager and the Regional Spend Area Manager.
  • Provide insights on Procurement analytics and data to support the new product development cycle.
  • Work closely with Procurement Specialist team to ensure compliance and local needs are met
  • Managing transactional activities including:
  • Entry and management of projects in Volt
  • Prepare Bid Waiver and Bid Record documents to obtain sourcing approvals
  • Resolve and respond to invoice kick-outs.
  • Vmaas process management for new vendors · Compliance to North America's policies (e.g. financial policies, procurement policies, confidentiality and risk management policies) and communication of policies to suppliers and stakeholders to minimize risks.
• Share best practices for all global Spend Areas:
  • Support the sharing of best practices from one region to other regions.
  • Ensure standardization of processes and tools in coordination with other Spend Area leads.
• Assist in Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Drive Supplier performance by sharing best practice from one region to another.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Procurement team and Stakeholders to collate feed-back on supplier performance related to service quality and delivery, to help build insights for supplier performance management.
  • Monitor, control and report KPIs for the assigned Spend Area/ region.
• Support overall margin agenda and days payable outstanding for the Spend Area:
  • Active support and contribution to regional margin management and cash flow meetings.
  • Productivity and Payment Terms recording and tracking. Support margin agenda and days payable outstanding.

Qualifications: Candidate Requirements
• Good level of English proficiency - written and meeting.
• Competency in written business communication: email, ppt, briefs, meeting minutes.
• Complete higher education (Bachelor+) / Student of the last year.
• Excel and Power Point proficiency.
• Project Management and Communication.
