Supplier Quality Engineer/Technician/Analyst

Our client, a leading medical technology company is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer/Technician/Analyst. This is for an initial duration of 6 months and is located in Zelienople, PA
Supplier Quality Engineer/Technician/Analyst            
  • The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be responsible for coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with Client requirements.
  • The SQE serves as the liaison for suppliers, suggests quality and process improvements, and collaborates with other engineers in a team environment.
  • The SQE will conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications, travel to assigned suppliers, and lead multiple projects to completion.
  • The SQE must also manage process controls, establishing schedules for reviewing supplier quality performance.
  • In addition, the SQE measures readiness throughout the product development cycle and must be a problem solver, who uses their advanced analytical skills to find innovative solution to quality-related issues.
  • The SQE must also have strong communication skills to create progress reports and present their findings to the team and leadership.
 Basic Qualifications
  • Strong experience with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with audiences of varying technical skills
  • Ability to understand, plan, and execute supplier qualification activities
  • Strong project planning skills with the ability to schedule, plan, and execute supplier monitoring activities
  • Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical devices
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and “do it right the first time” attitude
  • Ability to prepare written technical plans and reports in support of product or process validations, and supplier component qualifications.
  • Additional Desirable Qualification Skills and Knowledge
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with ISO14971 and associated Risk Management Processes
 Education and/or Experience
  • AS/BS in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Bio-Medical, etc
  • 1-2 years of experience in the manufacture of Electro-Mechanical devices
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Medical Device manufacturing or similarly regulated industry
