 Change Management
  • Create awareness in the project for change behaviors and change resistance
  • Work actively with individual stakeholders identified as change resistant thorough the phases of change and help them to get to the desired state
  • Provide training as requested to department managers or Super users about change management to support the organization working through change times
  • Work closely with program director about any findings and outcome of the communication or change management and give guidance
  • Coordinate regular off site management meetings
  • Review training and business readiness plans and guide both teams
  • Holds regular reviews with the Business Readiness lead and work stream leads to track progress against the business readiness plans, specifically relating to Change Management activities
  • Ensures Change Impact Assessments and Job Analysis are completed and communicated
  • Drives local initiatives to promote the project being a Great Place to Work 
Job Purpose:
  • Joining the newly formed Change Management Centre of Excellence the Change Management Specialist will be involved in change projects for GBS and across client as guided by the Director, Change Management.  These projects may include changes to organizational behavior, business processes, systems, and technology. The Change Management Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring projects and organizational change initiatives meet their objectives and achieve the identified business benefits by increasing employee adoption and engagement. The incumbent will support this through the application of specialized/expert knowledge of change management techniques to the development and execution of change plans that inspire employees to change behaviors. This will include stakeholder management, assessing organizational readiness and liaison with Internal Communication on communication strategies and preparation of communication tools, as well as the preparation of communication, training and other change management materials.
  • During the lifecycle of projects, the incumbent will be required to use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions to resistance and other complex problems regarding the change in focus. The incumbent will also provide direct support and coaching to senior managers and middle managers, as required, as they support their direct reports through transitions. This will often require communicating difficult or 'hard to accept' concepts and negotiating with others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Therefore, the ability to connect with people across all levels of an organization, develop strong relationships and having empathy and outstanding communication skills are critical for this role.
Principal Accountabilities (not exhaustive)
  • Creation and execution of organizational change management plans on all assigned projects which includes at a minimum:
    • Leadership/Sponsorship Alignment: Guide and coach leaders and sponsors to establish and maintain the commitment necessary for the change programme
    • Stakeholder Impact: Proactively work with project teams to identify and assess stakeholders in context of change being introduced.  Anticipate and manage stakeholder change readiness and resistance challenges and develop mitigation strategies
    • Communications: Liaise with the Internal Communication team to develop plans and strategies to support the project. Interact with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and translate the information into change activities
    • Change Assessment: Work with teams to assess change readiness. Identify risks and issues related to Change Management and identify resolution/action plans.
  • Act as an "agent of change” to support the use of Change Management best practices, procedures and methodology across all SN projects as guided by the Director, Change Management.

  • Change Management CoE is on a maturity journey and this role will be critical to support Programmer and Project Managers and Business sponsors in managing and delivering the people aspects of the transformational changes in a structured way, which engages the change recipients and key stakeholders. In parallel, this role will also design and define products that build capability within the wider client organization, so that we enable the business and the support functions to deliver change more successfully.
  • This role will provide critical and important support in terms of delivering change management expertise from the newly formed Change Management Centre of Excellence to all client projects.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Organizational Change Management or related career experience
  • Experience of change management planning, development and execution.
  • Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Excellent active listening, organization and communication skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of stakeholders and audiences
