Job Description
  • Handle day to day health/welfare/retirement benefit vendor payment processes for a multi-company Total Rewards program.
  • Communicate and liaise with HR Team, Finance/Control Team and Vendors to validate invoices, resolve errors and process payments from end to end.
  • Under general direction, assist in the development and review of employee/vendor cost analysis, budgeting and reporting for Human Resources and other businesses.
  • This position is located in Orange, CT. 
Major Roles and Responsibilities
  • Initiate, execute, monitor and report on expenditures and payment processing for a range of vendors.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate approvals (e.g. PRs, POs, etc.) and adequate fund balances to ensure invoices are paid on schedule.
  • Collaborate with the corporate finance/control team to provide accurate and timely budget information including allocations between operating companies and business areas.
  • Provide variance analysis on assigned vendor's budget for review and submission to HR Leadership.
  • On-board new vendors to payment procedures and develop collaborative relationships with vendor representatives.
  • Execute a continuous improvement approach to vendor management, making suggestions for streamlining and automating the payment processes.
  • Support the Total Rewards Team by participating in projects, assisting with business evaluations, and providing coverage to related teams (Retirement Programs/Compensation). 
Requirements
  • Education & Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Finance and a minimum of 3 years of vendor payment management or accounts payable experience in HR benefits preferred;
  • Associates Degree in related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of vendor payment management or accounts payable experience in HR benefits accepted;or equivalent combined education and experience.
Skills/Abilities
  • Able to use Human Resources Information System: SAP, or similar.
  • Able to use Financial Information System: SAP, or similar.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrated capacity to meet deadlines and work with time sensitive payment processes.
