Job Title: IT Analyst
 
Summary:
 
Provide basic ongoing technical support, with specific direction, in one or more of the following technical areas: computer hardware, networking, database or system architecture, documentation, and security. This includes monitoring, testing, and deploying these environments.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Act as first responder to trouble-tickets:
  • Network and backup equipment.
  • Desktop/laptop applications
  • Various lab equipment and technical systems
  • Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance on computers, accounts, applications, UPS’s, and other peripherals.
  • Assist with conducting corrective and preventive hardware maintenance on backup systems, computers, and other technical equipment.
  • Assist with documenting configurations and associated project work.
  • Provide basic diagnostic support on the operating or telecommunications systems.
  • Provide 24 hour on call support as required.
  • Assist in various projects as needed.
  • Qualifications: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to troubleshoot simple hardware/software issues. Knowledge of hardware, internals, peripherals, and software on platforms supported. Good judgment and customer interaction skills
 
Education and/or Experience:
 
Working Environment:
 
  • Associates degree in computer-related field of study or 1+ years of relevant technical support or work experience. Technical certifications a plus.
  • Standard office environment.
  • Will also need to enter clean room, manufacturing and warehouse spaces requiring special protective clothing, etc.
  • Ability to periodically work after hours and weekends to support systems upgrades and implementations.
