Major Duties :
 
Description of the major duties performed in this job.
 
  • Audits picking activities to assist in improving accuracy of orders to be shipped to Client customers, including entering results in the appropriate system.
  • Resolves inventory discrepancies as reported from daily Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) reports and other miscellaneous reports dealing with inventory.
  • Performs transactions to update inventory as a result of parts transfers, lost inventory, or inventory  shortages.
  • Provides assistance to wage employees relative to routine storage and shipping inquiries.
  • Gathers daily pick orders, separates according to pick type and distributes to proper processing area.
  • Performs general administrative duties on an as needed basis to meet administrative support needs of internal and external customers.

Technical Skills & Knowledge :
 
  • Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Knowledge of parts distribution systems and parts terminology. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.
  • Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques. (e.g. pareto charts, histograms, pie and bar charts and control plans.) - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
 
Education :
 
  • Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.
  • Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree or
apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent), Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent), Degree in a Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent), Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent)
 
Relevant Work Experiences :
 
Type and amount of experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. May include specific roles and/or an understanding of a particular function, organization, industry or product line.
  • Experience in clerical role. - 1 - 3 years
  • Manufacturing and/or operations experience. - Less than 1 year
  • Experience working in one or more operations support functions such as warehousing, logistics, etc. - Less than 1 year
 
Specific Position Requirements          
 
  • Act as a Product Verification and Validation Operations Coordinator for Combine and Front End Equipment.
  • Position must manage test equipment configuration spreadsheets, work with engineering and technicians to track equipment configuration changes.
  • Position manages the equipment shipping checklist, ensuring that as equipment goes to the field for testing that engineering and technicians sign off that the product is ready to leave the building.
  • Position works with engineering and technicians to gather all part inventory requirements for equipment in the field and coordinates the stocking of spare parts trailers. Position helps the engineers and technicians fill out and maintain accurate inventories of parts in the field, specifically for customs forms when traveling to Canada.
  • Position will work with other Operations positions on logistics, asset management, and scheduling of field test equipment.
  • Position does not require an understanding of Harvesting Equipment, but it is very helpful.
  • Position must know how to use and manipulate excel spreadsheets, and SharePoint sites.
  • The Major Duties as described above are specifically for a factory, production job.
  • This position has similar major duties, except for an experimental operations environment. Metatarsals required for the first day.
  • Hours - M-F 6/7am-3/4pm. Minimal travel for site visits will be required.
