Basic Function
  • This role will serve as PSSNA's subject matter expert for the Client Wireless Partner Program.
  • This position will be responsible for building Client's OEM relationships with US and Global Carriers. This position supports the Distribution, Reseller and Sector sales team's efforts and reports directly to the Director of Wireless Strategy department.
  • Accountability to develop a member program focused on wireless activations and process and procedures to increase revenue for P180 (wireless platform) & Carrier Partners. 
  • Client System Solutions Company of North America (PSSNA) has an immediate opening available for a Business Development Manager for the Wireless Strategy team. This individual will report directly to the Director of Wireless Strategy.
  • The role is a 6-month assignment and the ideal location is Newark, NJ however other locations will be considered.
  • The Business Development Manager will work to further develop a Master dealer relationship with P180 and US Carriers to include front end customer facing activities, reseller and channel support.
  • Candidate will have proven expertise in managing carrier contracts, financial reconciliation and preparation of financial statements.
  • The Business Development Manager will develop and implement a strategic business plan for a wireless partner program. Events and face-to-face visits with top customers, prospects, and partners will take place as required to achieve business objectives with up to 50% travel expected.
  • This job and the lean structure of PSSNA will require the candidate to be flexible, and "wear many hats” as required. However, the Business Development Manager will have certain constant duties and accountability in three key areas. 
Program Development
  • Develop program structure and process to include contract administration, on boarding, training, lead registration and all aspects of commission administration.
  • Understand the integration of wireless modules in products throughout the supply chain to end user.
  • Develop databases to support tracking, reporting and commission process.
  • Collaborate with Client Sales teams, Carriers and 3rd party suppliers to obtain information to build and capitalize on PSSNA's unique wireless program.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, training, and necessary certifications to process activations and general inquiries from resellers, customers and carriers.

  • On-board, train new sales reps on the benefits of the wireless program.
  • Communicate program updates to members.
  • Registration of leads and opportunities for commission eligibility for carriers
  • Responsible for accuracy of Monthly /Quarterly/FY reporting of program financials 
Subject Matter Expertise
  • Serve as the sector subject matter expert within PSSNA and interface as such with the different stakeholders within the organization—including sector sales, marketing, and product management and engineering teams
  • Collect, analyse, and disseminate key sector market news, customer data, product trends, and competitive information in order to educate and provide market readiness the PSSNA sales force and its channel partners
  • Serve as the voice of PSSNA for the sector in public relations & media opportunities to build sector market awareness for Client
  • Promote PSSNA solutions offerings to the assigned sector and reseller channel through presentations, training sessions, and speaking engagements
  • Identify and actively engage with sector associations in order to position Client as a leader in the Sector market
  • Develop and deliver quarterly "State of the Sector” report to all appropriate PSSNA stakeholders

  • Required Skills & Experience A minimum of 3 years work experience in the assigned sector Extremely proficient in the trends, terminology, customer requirements, and key strategic players of the assigned sector Demonstrated experience and expertise with sector's purchasing processes and contracts Thorough understanding of assigned sector opportunity management systems and sources of market intelligence.

Additional Job Description Strategic Marketing Development
  • Develop and maintain annual strategic plan for the assigned sector, in cooperation with the business unit, segment leaders, and marketing teams
  • Work with the Marketing team in the development & execution of sector market messaging, marketing strategies, sales promotions, and other tactics designed to generate market awareness for Client, produce actionable leads, and grow the pipeline for the sector sales team
  • Work with the Marketing team to identify and develop beneficial Sector resources—such as sales presentations and collateral pieces—for the PSSNA sales team and its channel partners to better attract and close sales opportunities
  • Deliver regular Sector market research and competitive positioning/pricing analysis to sales management
  • Organize regular Sector customer advisory event(s) to collect direct feedback from end-users
  • This individual must also:
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of all PSSNA offerings
  • Work closely with the sector sales team to develop, manage, and audit the annual marketing development funds (MDF) budget for the sector
  • Manage special products to drive the goals of the sector and PSSNA as a whole
  • Assist the industry sales team as necessary to reach annual sales quota
