Our client, a leading medical devices manufacturing company is looking for a Technical Writer - Senior. This is for an initial duration of 6 months and is located in Brea, CA
Job Details:
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills and project management skills.
  • Must have writing experience with controlled or simplified English and writing in a regulated environment.
  • Previous graphics experience, strong organizational and planning skills, strong communication skills, and strong customer focus required.
  • Must have experience with DITA, topic based authoring and CMS.
  • Experience with SDL TriSoft, XLST and DITA is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile Development process is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 5+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years’ experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years’ experience
  • Design, develops, formats, implements and manages technical writing and content creation, to meet the demands for the production of labeling documents, manuals, testing procedures and operational specifications, including the creation and maintenance of documentation and illustration for hardware and software user’s guides, service and programming manuals and electronic media including on-line help.
  • Manages revisions of technical documentation and delivery of global labeling and content.
  • The function may include configuration and maintenance of content and translation management systems.
  • Ensures integrity of data and document use, which may include customer data and quality and regulatory data following ISO standards to internal quality and production standards.

  • Ensure content complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Experienced technical writer with excellent writing skills, ensures quality and technical accuracy of content.
  • Support documentation change processes such as design control processes.
  • Communicates project status and issues to Project and/or Core Teams, Project Management,
  • Analysts, Technical Writers, Coordinators, and Management.
  • Maintains electronic files.
  • Submits project documents for approval.
  • Reads, understands, and follows documentation and department procedures, include global procedures.
  • Ensures that skills are maintained on a continual basis to support Technical Publications activities and objectives.
  • Participates in process improvement efforts.
