Information Technology Operations Manager

Position Description

Location: 100% onsite in Santa Clara, CA. 

Duration: 6-12 months temp to perm for high performers.

Summary:

Datacenter and installed technology infrastructure availability monitoring for a 24x7, fault tolerant two datacenter environment.
Operation and maintenance of enterprise compute platforms, storage, physical databases, networks, Wi-Fi networks, Active Directory, network security, messaging systems, virtual servers, hybrid cloud infrastructure, mobile device communication, high availability and disaster recovery, VOIP telephony, endpoint devices, software distribution systems, etc.
The distribution of images across desktops, laptops and mobile devices
Oversees all ticketing functions and is the next escalation point in resolving urgent or critical operational issues
Oversees service desk manager/service desk functions
Works with the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) on compliance to ITIL functions such as knowledge management, problem management, and change management
Works with the SDM in monitoring and meeting operational SLAs and KPIs
Infrastructure and endpoint asset management

Level 1 and Level-2 incident resolution.
This position supports and administers data retention/recovery and production job schedules and performs continuous analysis of production jobs, backup processes, and system monitoring.
This manager is responsible for the resolution of IT incidents and service requests from staff.
This position is also tasked with making recommendations for enhancements to the infrastructure technology portfolio, based on operational observations.

Qualifications:




Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, CIS, MIS or equivalent
7 or more years of management experience with operating and maintaining technology environments which include datacenter management, enterprise systems management, Windows Server, VMWARE, Nimble Storage, Cisco Networks; VOIP, security appliances, endpoint security solutions, O365 Pro+ productivity Suite, 1,200+ Windows 10 and Apple devices, SCCM, MDM systems, and similar architectures.
Strong knowledge of IT operational procedures and processes.
Experience performing storage and enterprise platform troubleshooting, and management.
Familiarity with various operating systems and industry-accepted standards.
Experience with ‘managed services’ and Local Government is highly desirable.
3 years minimum Endpoint Services experience.
Experience in mobile device and applications support (MDM), SCCM and Office 365
