Marketing Writer Position:
 
Duties & Responsibilities: (not listed in any particular order)
 
  • Develops copy for a wide variety of marketing collateral for print and digital distribution. Includes information gathering (existing materials, interviewing, Internet, etc.), writing initial copy, handling edits/changes to subsequent drafts, and advising on accompanying art/graphics when necessary.
  • Works with product line and region personnel to help them provide the right background material or content for these documents.
  • Writes a variety of marketing collateral in accordance with applicable universal conventions and corporate and industry standards. Includes writing of Technical spec sheets, real results, product and service brochures, web copy, etc.
  • Create, presents and develops marketing campaign concepts that stand out and help achieving business goals.
  • Supports development, communication, and enforcement of communication standards throughout the company.
  • Adheres to and upholds departmental policies, processes, procedures, and practices.
  • Knows and understands Client Quality Policy and complies with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
  • Understands and complies with all safety rules and company policies of Client.
  • Fulfils work assignments to the highest quality level.
  • Performs various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Additional Job Details:
Essential
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing communications, technical writing, English, or liberal arts
  • Minimum of 7 to 8 years of corporate communications, marketing writing, or agency experience, preferably with some oilfield experience.
