Job Summary
  • This position acts as the liaison with the sales force and can be the first line of contact with the customer and factory to accomplish administrative objectives. Knowledge of organizational systems and divisional business is required for the Sales Coordinator to carry out sales support and administrative duties as assigned. 
Basic Qualifications – Scope
  • Reports to Manager, No director reports. 
Education & Experience
  • 3-5 years direct inside sales or customer service experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • SAP experience preferred. 
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills required.
  • Strong problem solving skills required for success.
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment. 
  • Excellent written/verbal Japanese communication and negotiation skills required.
  • Ability to work well with all departments. Interfaces with management. 
Sales Support:
  • Processing orders & EDI (electronic data interface) as well as related record keeping.
  • communicating with factories to place orders, gather and distribute information.
  • Reviewing all order confirmations from factories to ensure correctness; advise reps of
    confirmed deliveries on customer’s request (i.e. P/N, price, delivery, etc.)
  • Tracking drop ship orders
  • Preparing quotes on standardized form and updating quote log.
  • May provide basic technical information utilizing knowledge of the industry and product.
  • Facilitates, communicates and implements all sales administration efforts to satisfy
    customer requirements while maintaining company policy with internal contacts, including:
  • Responding to inquiries on delivery status and returns.
  • Processing change requests and expediting.
  • Communicates with the factory and internal departments in order to coordinate and
    support sales.
  • Interfaces with factories to resolve sales and production issues. means of transportation.
  • Acts as the intermediary between sales force and various internal departments to meet
    Sales force and customers’ needs.
  • May be responsible for the research, and tracking of reports
  • Recommends adjustments as necessary to control inventory and anticipate factors which
    change the plan and make immediate corrections through stock status analysis.
