Description/Comment:
 
Business Analyst- Inventory & Planning
 
  • Provide support to the inventory demand planning team and ensure all inventory related data is prepared to meet project deadlines.
  • Work with Inventory Data Manager to provide support with inventory data reporting.
  • Create various ad hoc reports regularly to support Replenishment Process using JD Edwards, Showcase, Access Databases, SQL server and other company specific reporting tools.
  • Develop, consolidate and publish monitoring inventory metrics and KPIs from disparate data sources to be reviewed by management.
  • Perform reporting, research and analysis duties to support Inventory Management.
  • Operate as a consultant with internal partners to define solutions and meet customer needs.
  • Support Users with day to day questions and troubleshooting of Available to Order issues.
  • Work closely with Replenishment Manager on special projects as required.
  • Participates in the design, development, testing and implementation of new business processes and system enhancements relating to inventory replenishment and distribution.
  • Support and provide training to Users or a regular basis as required on new enhancements and projects initiatives
  • Supports on-going planning improvement initiatives including Sales Forecasting, Safety Stock and Service Level calculations, Material Requirements Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Min/Max setting and overall Inventory management.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the area of reporting and inventory management.

Additional Job Details:
 
Required Education:
 
  • Essential: Minimum BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering
 
 
Preferred:
 
  • APICS certification and knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and/or other Supply Chain Planning or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • JDE/Oracle experience a plus
 
Required Experience:
 
  • Knowledge in an ERP system
  • Experience working in a Corporate environment
  • 3+ years of experience in business analyst
  • Familiarity with enterprise reporting software is required, Oracle SmartView and OBIEE, Power BI, and Tableau preferred.
  • SQL scripting language knowledge required
  • Demonstrated responsibilities must include analytical roles, process development & leadership, experience working with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations functions.
  • Business Intelligence Reporting
  • Knowledge and understand basic supply chain processes especially in the area of inventory.
  • Previous query writing experience
  • Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
