Position Type: Hourly contract Position (W2 only)
  • 5-8 years of progressive responsibility experience within global, multi-tier IT environment; 
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to collaborate remotely across multiple countries and time zones
  • High proficiency with use of SharePoint, Microsoft Office and Visio
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture (in general) and one (preferably more) of the following sub-disciplines: technical/solution, information, and/or reference architecture; proven ability to apply this knowledge within a business context.
  • An ability to rapidly gain an understanding of technical architecture requirements to support existing and planned business capabilities across varied business domains
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry processes (GxP) and technology solutions is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills are critical
  • Technical Skills Possess strong working knowledge of one or more of the following:
  • AWS VPC, EC2, EBS, S3, (any other AWS service is acceptable)
  • Citrix – XenApp, Xen Desktop and Citrix Hosted Shared Desktop 
Basic Network skills
  • DNS, Load Balancing patterns, VPNs, subnets, etc.
  • Oracle Database and Middleware (OSDI, API Gateway)
  • Microsoft SQL
  • Active Directory
  • Single Sign-On patterns using SAML, Ping Federate or Okta
  • O365 – SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Azure AD, ADFS
  • Scripting / Application Development is a plus
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Interpretation, review and contribution to Conceptual and Logical Architecture documentation that describes: Solution components, infrastructure requirements, business processes, data flows, network flows, security controls, etc.
  • Quickly grasp, articulate, coordinate and assist in planning application implementation activities focused on the technical components of a solution:
  • Infrastructure leverage internal & external clouds for compute and storage
  • Integration activities leverage shared services such as API gateway and other middleware
  • Identity and Access understand identity flows and how new solution requirements fit into existing patterns which can leverage shared services (Ping, ADFS, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Service Owners, Project Managers, Technical Leads and Technical Service Reps to leverage service capabilities and effectively host solution components.
  • Proactively clarify and help set expectations between Solution stakeholders:
  • Project Managers, Tech Leads, Business Partners and Service Owners
  • Identify technical challenges and opportunities present in the adoption, implementation and long-term operational needs of planned solutions
  • Identify gaps in solution proposals and service capabilities and work collaboratively to identify acceptable options both tactical and strategic
  • Recognize and describe common security requirements/gaps in application architecture
  • Maintain Software Product Lifecycle information surrounding Technical Standards in our Standards Repository.
