Primary Responsibilities
Job Description:
  • Seeking a Data Center Engineer to join our clients team and support the growth, enhancement, and operational stability of their data center environment.
  • In this role, you will develop & execute data center designs based on architectural design principals to support client business systems. You will participate in ongoing maintenance & upgrade projects, as well as proactively addressing operational issues before they affect the availability.
  • Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience supporting data center operations, with experience implementing & integrating data center, facilities, and related components. They will have strong technical acumen, with the ability to quickly learn and apply processes & system in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
  • You will work on-site in Orange County, regular business hours, with on-call rotation. The data center is 10k sq.ft., with 200+ physical servers, 800kW of protected power, and multiple generators.

  • Work directly with customer vendors as directed
  • Manage pre-defined maintenance schedules
  • Participate in Change Board Activities as needed
  • Trending and analysis as it relates to the environment

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in area of specialty or work equivalent, 5+ years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Typically reports to top management.
