Our client, a leading Biomedical Laboratory Instruments company is looking for a Buyer. This is for an initial duration of 12 months and is located in Fremont, CA

Top 5 Must Haves:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of Supply Chain experience
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Experience in lean manufacturing - Usage of lean tools, for example: 5S, Standard Work, KANBAN, Policy Deployment, Value Stream Management, and Visual Management.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain inventory for multiple product lines
  • Manage the planning and procurement of materials with the use of lot size, reorder-point & Kanban planning methodologies
  • Process and support all internal requisitions
  • Work with Strategic Sourcing.
  • Resolve A/P issues for purchase orders.
  • Cycle Count Management and reconciliation of cycle counts with team members. Develop process improvements for cycle counting accuracy.
  • Lead for various projects as required (e.g. lead materials representative for ISO, Materials Project Lead for NPI, etc.)
  • Overall strategy and relationship management in both direct and indirect categories.
  • Responsible to secure savings in line with annual objectives.
