Our client, a manufacturer that provides Supply Chain, Quality, Production Line/Automation, Product Manufacturing & Fulfillment needs for it's clients by specializing in Custom Automation, Build to Print, Contract Manufacturing, Systems Integration, Services and Machining, has a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer opportunity available.

Job Description
  • Plans, directs & coordinates manufacturing processes
  • Designs & develops fixturing & CNC programs for horizontal & vertical CNC Milling machines 
  • Develops, evaluates & improves manufacturing processes & methods
  • Develops 3 to 5-axis mill and/or lathe programs for CNC machine tools
  • Selects the cutting tools, tool arrangement & cutting speeds & feeds for parts as applicable to CNC machining
  • Prepares shop setup sheets, tool lists & supervise the process validation portion of new program prove out
  • Creates Control Plans, Shop Routings & BOMs in MS Office & GSS ERP system
  • Experienced with Aerospace processing, materials & documentation requirements
  • Proficient with 3D CAD/CAM software including modeling, ASY, BOM, drawing creation & CAM toolpaths
  • Assists with the design of jigs, tools, fixtures & special equipment for horizontal & vertical CNC Mill & lathe work holding applications
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications & arrange for purchase of equipment, Fixture BOM requirements & evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
  • Confers with production staff concerning fixturing & CNC tooling ensuring efficient production methods
  • Oversees with engineering & other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules & other considerations to facilitate production processes
  • Work with the Estimating team, provide production times & related costing when quoting new work  
Education & Experience:  
  • Degree in a related manufacturing OR
  • 10+ years experience directly related to the duties & responsibilities specified
  • 3D CAD/CAM software proficient, Unigraphics NX preferred, otherwise will obtain on the job.
