Our client is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firm's employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 43 countries.
Position Description:
The candidate will be part of the Listed Sales and Trading Technology team. The team is 170 members globally, including 30 in New York. They are responsible for developing a cutting edge low latency and high frequency electronic trading platform for Brokerage sales and trading desks serving our institutional clients. The sales and trading desks use our platform to capture order instructions from clients electronically and via phone, route those orders to execution venues, and manage the full status of all orders in real time from entry to exit from our client.
Skills required:
  • The candidate must be proficient in one of the Object Oriented Programming languages preferably .net C# and exhibit keen interest in learning .NET technologies like WPF.
  • Experience with real time multi-threaded Graphical User Interfaces. Focus on developing high performant UI for a multithreaded desktop trading application.
  • Experience with performance and memory profilers like DotTrace, DotMemory, WinDbg etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and agile, test-driven development practices.
  • Able to work as part of a global team of developers, Product Management, QA and support personnel.
  • Possess excellent oral / written communication skills, and exhibit a keen interest in the business of Equity Trading.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Engage with trading desks and product managers to gather requirements and then convert functional requirements into detailed technical solutions.
  • Work with the UX (User Experience) team to gather Visual specifications and implement them in C#/WPF.
  • Produce technical design documents and present to the global technical team.
