Our clients Ventures arm is their strategic venture capital unit and Innovation Lab. This group is passionate about sourcing innovative early-stage technologies for introduction into the company's various operating businesses, while also making direct venture investments in early-stage technology companies as well as LP fund investments in top tier venture funds. Finally, Ventures Lab is focused on building the insurance models of the future.

Seeking a free and creative thinker, comfortable with uncertainty and a strong desire to work with a team of Alliance Builders, Venture Investors, and Change Agents. We are flat, fast, and we welcome diversity of thought. Also required is a goal setting mindset and the ability to execute against stretch metrics.

This role is critical to driving change throughout the company's venture arm via the testing of new, innovative technologies. Ideally we are seeking someone with experience driving change within a large enterprise and the requisite understanding of the challenges of such endeavors (E.g. Innovator's Dilemma). A perfect candidate will have the ability to quickly develop strong relationships with both internal partners (often business leaders) and external partners (typically Founders of start-ups and VCs), while quickly developing a deep understanding of the company's business and technology needs. As part of this effort, you will:
  1. Challenge employees to think differently by testing new technologies,
  2. Conduct in-depth research of strategic foci and help stretch innovative thinking throughout the enterprise,
  3. Develop and support socialization paths for new technologies and
  4. Support investment diligence efforts.

Responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
  • Working closely with the Alliance building team to develop and drive strategy for the team.
  • "Selling” the testing of new technology throughout the company.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of company's ventures Enterprise, Investments and Insurance related businesses.
  • Collaborate with Ventures Director of Investments to support due-diligence processes as appropriate.
  • Represent the company's venture arm both internally and externally as a forward thinking innovation engine within the company.
  • Interpret business challenges, identify trends and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Connect the dots on opportunities for cross-functional impact.

Must have a BA or BS Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience, outstanding presentation skills, and mature interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. The perfect candidate will also possess a pre-existing knowledge (and a personal opinion) of key technology themes that are impacting the financial services and a demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver tangible results.
