GTO brings together the Technology and Operations pillars of the Bank to provide quality IT platforms and services and market-leading client services and transaction processing to our bank and external clients.

We are responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and protecting the entire IT and operations infrastructure required to support all of the Bank's businesses. We are set up to partner with business, infrastructure and regional partners to provide quality IT platforms and market-leading client services and transaction processing.


Overview:
We like to think of Group Technology and Operations (GTO) as the engine room of the Bank - a nimble and diverse division that makes sure trades are settled, risk is minimised and clients are satisfied.

In accordance with Anti-Money Laundering Requirements, banks, are obliged to perform Know-Your-Client (KYC) reviews on all new clients they adopt. These checks and reviews are made in strict accordance with regulatory requirements and the Bank's internal policies.

With KYC and COB functions carried out in many parts of the world a new programme has been mobilised to work with the BAU / Run the bank teams in ensuring that we adopt best practice across all teams and maximise the potential and efficiency in each of these countries.

Key responsibilities:
  • Analyse current location taxonomy in order to prioritise and phase work.
  • Lead smaller projects as part of the overall phasing work.
  • Liaise with extended teams on scope of location strategy.
  • Work with team to establish success metrics and implement solutions for phased approach.
  • Contribute to global performance metrics surrounding the KYC processes.
  • Work with global teams to execute strategy.
  • Work with relevant teams on planning, monitor allocated budgets, prep for Investment Governance and Steerco meetings.
  • Work with change teams to adopt central governance / monitoring tool for programmes.
  • Work with programme managers on provision of reports/communications for key stakeholders group as required.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with your KYC Director, Team Leaders, Lines of Business, Operations, Audit, Compliance, and Technology to ensure consistent quality delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing change initiatives and build/maintain a strong understanding of the relevant policies and regulatory environment.
  • Ensure the appropriate and confidential handling / sharing of sensitive client data.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • Embed robust processes to adhere to best practices and to enable control and maintenance of quality.

You will have:
  • Banking/financial experience.
  • Strong project management/analyst and social skills.
  • Experience in raising awareness of project benefits, performance management and working with teams to deliver quality/achieve project objectives in a challenging environment.
  • Ability to work well, apply sound judgement and make timely decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels and across all internal and external stakeholders groups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, inclusive of conflict resolution and relationship management.
