Responsible for project management leadership and the day-to-day management of one or more Information Technology projects within Healthcare s Global Portfolio Management organization.
- Accountable for developing detailed work plans, obtaining & updating estimates and forecasts, resource plans, and creating project schedules.
- Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
- Communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage to scope, schedule, and budget constraints while ensuring quality deliverables on the project.
MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all phases of multiple highly complex projects while providing a single point of contact for those projects (includes developing project timelines, obtaining resources, and managing the project budget).
Foster strong working relationships with clients and project team to meet project expectations regarding scope, schedule and budget.
Lead multiple moderately sized projects concurrently.
Facilitate the governance over an audience focused solution platform.
Assist the development team in following the Agile processes
Define project scope and objectives, along with the applicable detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and resource plans.
Work independently with end-users and business partners to understand requirements and design and estimate solutions.
Assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of an engagement management model, as well as ensure it is aligned with corporate engagement models.
Institutionalize Healthcare s development life cycle process and ensure methodologies are implemented effectively for project management processes and techniques.
Ensure that Healthcare's systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with Healthcare's Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices.
Establish a close relationship across businesses and with top management, both IT and business, to ensure strategic and tactical plans are in place, appropriate and executable.
Manage solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions.
Provide analytical guidance to project team, in support of issue and risk resolutions.
Escalate project issues as appropriate and ensure PMO status reporting is adhered to.



JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.

PMP Certification (Project Management Professional)

JOB EXPERIENCE
15+ years of IT experience with B.A or B.S.; 13+ years of IT experience with M.A. or M.S.
5 + years of system and indirect people management experience.
5+ years responsibility for business or technical analysis.
5+ years managing project in a cross-functional or cross-business environment.
Previous experience in either an internal or external consultant role.
Experience providing governance over an application.

Extensive experience working with a large base of internal customers.
Extensive experience in business management, implementation or IT consulting.
Business experience in marketing, manufacturing or finance.
ITIL Foundation certification
Project experience in a highly regulated industry environment (e.g. banking, insurance, pharmacology, medical device, etc.)
Experience managing within an SAP environment.
