Job Description:*Knowledge needed: Understanding of U.S. copyright laws, Fair use guidelines, and rights & permissions issues preferred. Strong organizational, research, and Excel skills.
Responsibilities include:
Clearing of permissions for AP products: involves researching source info, contacting down rightsholders, preparing request letters, tracking requests and credit lines in Permissions database, following up to ensure permission granted, requesting payments. Review layouts to approve credit lines.
Communication with Senior Director, AP Curricular Products and other internal Sponsors regarding status of requests. Consult with Legal on fair use issues.
Monitor and respond to requests for AP content sent to licensing email inbox.
Respond to instances of copyright infringements of AP content; send takedown notices and monitor removal status.
