Title: Shipping Receiving Clerk
Location: Parker, CO
Duration: 3 Months Contract

Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
  • Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties;
  • may work out of a central warehouse.
  • Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
  • Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
  • Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

PRODUCTION SUPPORT CAREER STREAM:
  • Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products. May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes. May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers.

  • Entrylevel position typically requiring little to no prior experience.
  • Work is clearly defined, routine or follows standard procedures and is closely supervised. Learns operating equipment and established operational procedures. Works on welldefined clerical tasks in distribution center.
