Job Title: SPG Front Office Engineer

Position Description: The Securitized Products Technology Group (SPG) is responsible for support and enhancements of the company's core applications that help traders manage positions and trades, calculate P&L, assess bond valuations, and calculate risk. The US Credit Trading team deals with a number of pre- and post- trade tools for RMBS, CMBS, CLO, ABS, and LevLoans securities.

Responsibilities include:
* Highly distributed, multi-threaded pre-trade tools for collateral/default/prepayment/other analysis
* Implementation of risk/pricing models for trading and risk purposes
* Distributed payload that run on farms of hundreds+ of CPUs
* Integration with internal and external feeds for bond/collateral/pricing data
* Automated document management and analysis to identify trading opportunities

The ideal candidate for this role would possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can work independently with developers and clients from other geographic regions. The candidate needs to deal with various clients including traders, quants, strategists, and modelers, and should be able to manage different personalities. The ability to deal with multiple projects, re-prioritizations according to trading desk needs, and a different technical stack if needed (java still primary) would be crucial. A candidate that shows a strong sense of dedication and ability to take ownership of problems and issues would be ideal.

Skills Required:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
* 5+ years of professional experience
* Strong in Java, Spring, JDBC, Hibernate
* Experience developing WebServices/REST services deployed over Tomcat/Jetty/CXF
* Strong multi-threaded & distributed computing experience
* Strong in Web application implementation & 3-tier architecture
* Application development with relational databases and T-SQL
* Strong OO fundamentals, design patterns, data structures and algorithms
* Experience with Shell/Perl/Python scripting
* Strong Unix / Linux

Skills Desired: Working knowledge of Fixed Income products and businesses
Skills Proficiency: Intermediate to Senior
