The Manager of Print Production is responsible for managing the print process and ensure timelines are captured and met from development through the review process, production and dissemination.

Exceptional communication skills are required to work alongside material's management and direct mail vendor. Oversee print production activities. Manage production schedules, make recommendations to the agencies and brand managers to ensure optimal efficiencies and on-time delivery. Must have the ability to understand and explain in a clear and concise manner, technical and scheduling issues that may impact production and delivery.
Must be able to prioritize workload and meet marketing demands on a daily basis.
This position must develop a strong working knowledge of the review process and the electronic review committee program.
Attention of complicated details in all aspects of creative and print production is essential for successful project completion.
Must have expertise of graphic arts software programs (for Macintosh operating systems) as well as Excel and internal systems (Zinc, eBUY, SAP).
Project Development:
Work closely with brand managers, print buyers and Materials Manager to produce highly effective marketing programs and marketing materials.
Manage involvement for budget, production timelines, with brands and materials manager.
Pull reports from various platforms to create one complete document for weekly status review
Provide benchmarked estimates for financial placeholder to expedite budget approval.
Regulatory Process:
Run Zinc reports and review by brand for accuracy of agency submissions
Create,/manage production job trackers from beginning to end (pulling information from Zinc, agency) and work with materials manager to ensure timelines are met.
Manage any print projects that are out of scope for print management vendor
Work with agency to ensure accuracy of submissions for final delivery of print material
Review printer proofs with buyers and brand prior to upload of PDF's to Zinc
Manage agency and print buyers to ensure printed samples are sent and received for all print project (that are not re-orders)
Confirm all jobs are released (archived) in Zinc prior to use
Print Production:
Review Estimates for accuracy
Revised print specifications as needed
Purchase requisition issued
Work closely with RCPL on process improvements (i.e.: eliminating duplicities, increasing transparency)
