Job Description:

Our Client is looking for an Assembly Tech to support the development of their Client communications technologies. In this role, you will use your experience as an aerospace technician to work side by side with the design engineers, handling and testing first-of-a-kind hardware.
Work with the engineering team on all aspects of the prototyping process, including quality and safety
Use your fabrication and assembly skills to support the assembly, installation, and electrical mates of sensitive aerospace components
Review procedures with the engineers prior to performing them, proactively identify issues, and suggest solutions
Support system testing which may include vibration, thermal, vacuum, and functional testing
Maintain Tool Control, ESD, and FOD standards in work areas
Independently resolve routine questions and problems
Support cleanroom activities, including maintaining the operation of the cleanroom, and performing precision cleaning on newly arrived hardware
Support the application of epoxies and other adhesives

Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an assembly technician performing critical hardware handling in an aerospace environment
Experience with cleanroom operations, OR with epoxy mixing and application/bonding
Hands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment
The ability to read, interpret, and execute to mechanical assembly drawings and BOMs
The ability to demonstrate advanced technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly
A background in either machining or electrical (PCB or cable) assembly
The technical prowess to tackle and understand new technical and engineering designs
Must be willing and able to work off shifts, weekends, overtime, and travel for test campaigns
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Certifications as a crane operator and/or forklift operator are desired
Given the nature of this role, certain candidates may require export license approval under the U.S. export control or trade sanctions laws to be hired. Our client has unilateral discretion to determine whether to apply for any export license or other approval that may be required. Education:
Technical training equivalent to an Associates Degree required
