Customer Service Representative
The primary purpose of this position is to process manual orders in a timely manner into plant operating systems and assist with customer queries regarding our product and services. Representative will deal with customer and plant concerns and communicate suitable solutions.
Tactical Responsibilities:
Receive and enter moderately complex customer orders accurately into 9 shipping plant locations. Maintain an ongoing relationship with selected customers and sales staff. Project the Company’s image in a professional and positive manner. Work with plants and Supply Chain team to gain product availability insight and respond to customer inquiries as needed. Categorize and maintain customer purchase order files. Assist in expediting orders as customer need arise. Pro-actively monitor order status and take actions to ensure plant is meeting customer delivery requirements and commitments. Maintain direct contact with both internal and external customers regarding orders. Notify Plant Customer Service Reps as needed to help identify and log customer concerns. Follow up to ensure issues are resolved meeting customers expectation. Operate in existing Johnson Controls systems (BES, SAP, and Business Objects).
Minimum two years customer service experience in a manufacturing environment is desired; however, inexperienced candidates, who demonstrate the aptitude and strong communication/organizational skills, may be considered. This is at the discretion of the hiring manager and the HR Manager.
Strong computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail.
Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service to both external and internal customers.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with external and internal customers.
Must demonstrate strong, customer friendly, phone etiquette.
SAP experience a plus.
2 Year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
