Technical Program Manager, Privacy and Compliance
DESCRIPTION
This opportunity is for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support privacy, compliance and cross-functional projects across Audible and Amazon legal, business and tech orgs in the US and internationally. The primary focus of this role will be on leading projects related to operational readiness for the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the mapping of customer, employee and vendor personal information from point of collection through all the different tools, systems and data stores that collect and process that data and the implementation of changes necessary to improve compliance and follow best practices. In addition to GDPR work, you will serve as privacy lead for the business and tech orgs, building awareness of best practices around data collection and use and acting as evangelist for "privacy by design”.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· You will play a leading role in running the delivery of large cross-functional programs spanning teams and divisions)
· Explain highly complex technical proposals, structures and processes to stakeholders in legal, marketing and leadership
· Work with key business and tech stakeholders to understand the financial impact of proposed solutions and to communicate the pros and cons of each alternative concisely and effectively
· Collaborate to define core business objectives in order to deliver the best product, program or project with the most efficient use of company resources
· Work with cross functional teams – legal, technology, business and operations to lead multiple projects that have conflicting needs / priorities, from concept to launch
· Work with technical astuteness, be detailed oriented and proactive in seeking opens in the projects and drive subsequent closure
· Communicate project risks, progress, launches and retrospectives across all stakeholders and teams – consistently and transparently
· Strive constantly to improve and establish a new bar in performance (using objective metrics) in project execution

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelors Degree
· 3+ years experience in project coordination, including substantial experience with projects dealing with the collection and use of customer data and handling privacy considerations as well as projects managing requirements and implementation of multiple vendor systems
· Ability to work independently with little supervision and deliver on time quality products
· Willingness to learn, be open minded to new ideas and different opinions yet knowing when to stop, analyze, and reach a decision
· Ability to work closely with both Engineers and non-tech stakeholders who serve as system owners to provide them the guidance they need to complete their tasks and implement process changes
· Be result oriented, ability to envision how to complete a task, break it down to smaller steps and plan accordingly
· Be able to thrive in an ambiguous environment - where change is the only constant
· Detailed oriented to ensure that project success is paramount
· Strong verbal and communication skills
· Strong experience in creating or redesigning, rolling out and executing organizational processes
· Strong analytical skills and an out of the box thinker

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Prior experience with compliance and risk-related project management, including GDPR and other privacy-related projects and initiatives
· Familiarity with marketing and advertising tools and technology
· Adept at usage of various tools such as Microsoft Excel, Visio & Project, JIRA and with Unified Modeling Language standards for visualization of system designs
· Experience managing agile software projects across multiple and geographically distributed teams, ideally as Scrum Master, running scrums, sprint grooming & planning, and reviewing agile project metrics
