Position Summary
The Solutions Architect/Systems Engineer will design and develop solutions for positioning, navigation and timing systems in various markets and assigned Business line by leveraging current portfolio, integrating current and new capabilities. The position will use a deep knowledge of products and understanding of customer problems/needs to develop new solutions.

  • Lead the proposal preparation and contribute to the financial estimate together with Sales and R&D.
  • Depending on the lifecycle of the products, include technical pre-sales support, RFQ/RFP support, product demonstrations, product training (internal and external), 2nd tier product technical support, product requirements development and reviews, trade show support, and conference/webinar presentations.
  • Manage the customer proposal
  • Manage the Pre-Sales project with cost, schedule, quality
  • Provide consultancy and technical expertise to customer requirements
  • Provide on-site technical expertise and demonstrations, upon sales request
  • Provide technical education to sales, partners, peers and customers
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide product / technical presentations to customers / partner Train customers on the delivered solution
  • Provide monthly activity reports
  • Represent the company to customers and technical partner at industry events, tradeshow, conferences and working groups as a technical thought leader
  • As a critical team member of the global sales, support overall business goals by accelerating new sales and by supporting customer relationships through interactions with Customers, Sales
  • Managers and Channel Partners.
  • Support the Product Manager in developing and executing the product plan, which includes acting as the voice-of-the-customer in product design decisions, and can also act as a deputy Product Manager in support of the team
  • Act as the technical expert for assigned Business line and is expected to work closely with current and prospective customers
  • Work closely with engineering and sales team
Education / Experience Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in the US (or equivalent work experience) in electronics, software or telecommunications
  • Proven work experience in an electronic instrumentation based company in Pre-Sales, R&D or customer support.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Requirements
  • Proficient in Radio Frequency, Positioning, Navigation and Timing, Networking and communications, Software Solutions and Electronics
  • Proficient in project and program management to include system design and proposal management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include presenting
  • Knowledge of market analysis, business industry and sales development
  • Ability to position solutions, consult and determine customer needs
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
