Job Description:
Responsible for ensuring that all phases of an asset's life cycle, from pre-acquisition through retirement, are properly documented and maintained. Responsible for tracking and processing Corporate IT warranties, licenses, and equipment leases.

• Manages and maintains fixed asset tracking systems (department and Lawson) for Client assets, including status, location, and disposition of all hardware received.

• Implements processes/procedures/policies for asset management system components.

• Receives all Client IT hardware and software purchased by Corporate IT.

• Maintains and manages all non-deployed hardware and software in the receiving room.

• Performs packing lists to purchase orders matching for all hardware and software received as NHO and offsite; Fixed Assets Specialist gives the completed order documents to the Corporate IT Accounting Clerk for processing and matching to invoices.

• Arranges employee contingency IT equipment needs, e.g., transfers and retirements.

• Provides maintenance data to verify maintenance charges from maintenance/support vendors.

• Assists and is backup for Corporate IT Operations Team Lead as needed.

• Insures that a high level of communication regarding asset management takes place with all interested parties.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to organize and work on multiple projects concurrently, often under strict time constraints.

• Must be able to keep detailed and accurate records.

• Must be able to make sound, well thought out decisions.

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Windows 7 Professional and Microsoft Office.

• Any accounting software, Lawson a plus.

• Knowledge of purchase orders and purchasing systems is desirable.



• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 2 years experience in the inventory control or accounting field.

General ledger and fixed assets highly desirable.

Additional Job Requirements
This person's primary function will be to assist the Asset Management team with confirming and executing the removal of both physical and virtual decommissioned servers in the Client environment.

Familiarity with AGILE methodologies and Asset management database manipulations is preferred.
