Position Description: -Conduct telephone interviews with applicants and clients to determine basis for Fair Hearing/identify the contested issues concerning the Work First New Jersey, SNAP, or Child Care Programs, which are necessary for transmittal of request to the Office of Administrative Law. -Explains eligibility criteria for Fair Hearings and Continued Assistance for WFNJ, SNAP and child care programs -Review and analyze all documents submitted with the Fair Hearing request including, but not limited to, the case record and documents submitted by the requestor and/or his or her designated legal representation, in order to make a determination on merit of Fair Hearing request and continued assistance -Ongoing review and knowledge of the FAMIS, GAAS, and DIMS databases -Analyze, interpret and apply the Work First New Jersey, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and Child Care regulations on an ongoing basis for each request in order to determine the basis of the adverse action and whether continuing benefits are appropriate -Researches cases and contact clients concerning special referrals -Reviews and evaluates all Fair Hearing requests for program benefits and verifies -Analyzes client application and verification forms, other relevant case record documents, information concerning income, residential, chronological and other relevant information to ensure Fair Hearing request properly captures issues that are transmitted to the OAL -Preparing correspondence to the CWA, requestor or legal representation, and the Office of Administrative Law concerning a variety of issues related to Fair hearings for the WFNJ, SNAP, and Child Care programs -Identifies and assist in the resolution of problems in the delivery, administration, implementation or integration the Fair Hearing process and division policies and procedures pertaining to Fair Hearings. -Responds to, and coordinates requests from internal units, individuals and other agencies to provide information concerning Fair Hearings for WFNJ, SNAP, and Child Care. Prepares letters, memos, instructions, transmittals and other information for approval and signature and send to appropriate recipients. -Gathers and reviews information from client application and verification forms explains eligibility criteria for program services; reviews samples of initial or continuing eligibility for clients; reviews and evaluates personal or financial data to determine client eligibility.

Skills Required : Highly proficient with MS Office Excellent communication skills both verbal and written a must Ability to learn new applications quickly Must be organized and able to prioritize workload

Skills Preferred:

Experience Required: At least 3 years of recent and related program support experience is a must.
