The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for performing analysis, modification, and daily functional support of the Oracle E-Business Suite and other non-Oracle applications that are of a high level of complexity and business impact under minimal supervision. This position will work closely with Information Technology and business personnel to understand business requirements and ensure that developed and purchased applications properly function to meet business needs across the organization. The Sr. Business Analyst will consult with members of the business community at all levels to identify current operation procedures, clarify program objectives, interpret and evaluate business requirements and design and execute test scripts and test scenarios in a fast paced team oriented environment.

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems or related experiences
  • Eight years previous business experience working with end users in a formal Business Analyst role, in requirements gathering, analysis, application design and testing
  • Five years Oracle or similar enterprise class ERP system experience
  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information
  • Experience working with integrated systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver
  • Microsoft Windows operating system experience and Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team skills
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
  • Experience working in an IT capacity in a manufacturing environment
  • Industry experience in specific business and ERP modules in one or more major functional areas such as Financials, Order Management, HRIS, Procurement, Production Planning, Supply Chain Management, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, optimize and document complex business processes

  • Eight years experience with Oracle E-Business Suite Applications
  • Five years experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment on Oracle E-Business Suite or similar enterprise class ERP system
  • Functional business experience in a user capacity
  • Formal Business Process Re-engineering experience
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional Certification or similar certification
  • APICS CPIM Certification
  • APICS CSCP Certification
  • Experience working in an IT capacity in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Industry experience in specific business and ERP modules in one or more functional areas such as Financials, Order Management, HRIS, Procurement, Production Planning, Supply Chain Management, etc.

  • Collecting and analyzing the project's business requirements and transferring the knowledge to the development team
  • Preparing accurate and detailed requirement specification documents and functional specification documents
  • Coordinating with the groups of business users who test, validate and evaluate new applications and functions to determine issues in services and software
  • Ability to think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems, clearly communicate findings of analysis, and propose solutions that address expressed needs
  • Understand and follow business process methodology including gather business requirements, process flows, use case scenarios and following standards, procedures and guidelines
  • Demonstrate project management skills including planning, scheduling and execution
  • Participates in or leads efforts to determine user requirements, design and test system solutions
  • Participates in or leads efforts to evaluate, select and justify third party software, vendors and/or service providers
  • Lead business requirement gathering activities of moderate to high complexity and medium to large size to support team assignments and objectives
  • Guide and train new team members
  • Responsible for effective communication through progress reports, user documentation and formal presentations to teams and management
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional business and system process improvement teams
  • Function as a team member or leader on specified projects

  • Team associations: Other IT staff members including analysts, programmers, Operations and Service Desk team members, consultants, and third party service providers
  • Primary internal customers: Charter management team, administrative employees, external customers, and shop floor employees

  • The Sr. Business Analyst will provide guidance, training and project direction to other IT personnel to facilitate knowledge transfer and cross training

  • Integration of custom and purchased software
  • Delivery of high quality systems that allow administrative and manufacturing processes to reliably and consistently function with minimal support from the IT department
  • Keeping focus on projects while providing tier-two support of end users
