The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an experienced senior DRUPL consultant to assist with the creation of external and internal websites using Drupal 8 as the content management system on a Redhat Linux platform hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud.

The websites, which support a statewide branch of government, are focused on the dissemination of documents relevant to the legal community in relational databases, public education and outreach through documents, graphic and video content, service to litigants, jurors, law enforcement agencies and other court users through access to secure databases, and providing users with searchable directory and contact information. The project will include advising IT staff on best practice for building the environment, leading a team of web developers in designing and building out the site, and advising management on training and tools necessary to maximize the system’s potential for building custom solutions and web applications. It is expected that the project will take approximately 9-12 months.

Qualifications and Skills:
• At least 10 years’ experience in project management.
• At least 10 years’ experience in web design and development.
• At least 8 years’ experience working with Drupal and at least 2 years’ experience with Drupal 8.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Additional knowledge, skills and abilities needed in:
• LAMP stack environment
• RedHat Linux
• CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and HTML5
accessibility and responsive web design
IT security to meet PCI requirements and ensure security


• Work closely with in-house IT staff to ensure proper server configurations for both sites.
• Develop and implement a project plan that will include the design of a website with more than 70,000 files and 26 million page views per year.
• Develop and implement a project plan that will include the design of an intranet with approximately 50,000 files serving more than 12,000 employees in dozens of locations around the state.
• Advise and assist in the architecture and design of both sites, including the development and customization of Drupal themes and content types, page layouts, taxonomy, and navigation.
• Provide knowledge transfer for managers, supervisors and team members.
• Advise and assist in the training of web developers with varying degrees of familiarity with Drupal.
