Position Description Work shifts primarily between 8.30-6pm Monday to Friday, but may require attendance at some events in the evenings or weekends (i.e., career fairs). The position can work anywhere between 30-40 hours a week, actual schedule can be somewhat flexible. The primary work location is noted at 12011 Government Center, but the person would also be required to travel to other locations within Fairfax County to meet with hiring managers, attend fairs etc. Under the direction of the CSB leadership and Human Resources Manager, develops and implements a recruitment strategy for Fairfax – Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB). Conducts recruitment outreach to attract outside candidates through variety of sources: social media, local colleges and universities, professional organizations, job fairs etc. Works closely with the CSB Leadership and Human Resources, Department of Human Resources, CSB volunteer program and the hiring managers to develop position advertising and sourcing strategies. Implements branding strategies to market behavioral health, developmental disability, and business operation careers within CSB and benefits of employment with the County and CSB. Develops and implements proactive recruitment strategies to source and recruit passive job seekers. Duties include: - Utilizes social media sites (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook) and networking boards to post job openings and source potential candidates. - Utilizes social media sites, blogs, as well as county website to post information on behavioral health careers with CSB. - Participates in recruitment outreach programs. Attends job fairs, professional events and conferences. - Develops targeted advertising and sourcing strategies to fill hard to fill positions and niche positions. - Networks with potential candidates to develop an effective pipeline of candidates. - Develops and maintains relationships with colleges and universities, programs, and other healthcare affiliations to market behavioral health careers and ensure an ongoing competent and diverse pool of candidates - Works with the CSB volunteer program to strengthen the internship programs within the department and establish pathways to employment. - Develops and implements employer brandings strategy to promote the benefits of behavioral health, developmental disability, and business operation careers with CSB. Works closely with hiring managers, CSB Human Resources, and Department of Human Resources to: - Maintain knowledge of department’s strategic plans, initiatives to ensure effective talent acquisition strategy linked to the identified needs. - Maintain knowledge of behavioral health careers within CSB and their professional and credentialing requirements. - Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. - Tracks and reports key recruitment metrics designed to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies. - Recommends new initiatives, polices and approaches designed to strengthen the recruitment effectiveness, recruitment process and employer branding.
Skills Required Highly proficient with MS Office Excellent communication skills Sourcing skills Experience with various recruiting tools Organized
Experience Required At least 2 years of related recruiting/professional-level HR experience with a high focus on recruitment
Education Required Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in human resource management, public administration, or a related human services field
