Position Description Iowa Medical and Classification Center (IMCC) is located on Hwy 965 in Coralville, IA just north of I-80. All male offenders sentenced in the state of Iowa come to IMCC first. They remain in “reception status” while they are assessed and classified. Pregnant patients from the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women (ICIW) may also be housed at IMCC if they have 1) high-risk pregnancies or are 2) in their third trimester. These women are housed in a separate area in the Lowell Brandt Unit (LBU). There are also times when the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital (FPH) will house a female patient. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) needed at IMCC would work with both the LBU and FPH patients. Primary NP responsibilities would be: ? Conducting physical examinations ?
