As a systems architect, you will be responsible for designing and building systems with quality requirements that serve millions of end users and large corporations worldwide. The systems architected should be auditable, highly available, configurable, inspectable, maintainable, recoverable, reliable, robust, scalable, stable and secure. The systems must support highly efficient processes that will ensure patient adherence and quality of life. An Enterprise Architect must have experience to understand the relationship between applications, operating systems, hardware and software. Technology stacks may include Salesforce, Java applications, AWS or Azure or other cloud native application solutions. Generalist with end to end knowledge of systems, integrations, data and other components needed. Senior level resource that guides the teams irrespective of their department structure. You will be responsible for developing technology roadmaps, architectural plans, and designs for HCL's client data warehouse and data lake reporting layers. You will ensure we are creating quality solutions that meet our client's business needs in as an efficient manner as possible. 
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in creating a technology roadmap and architecture to meet the business requirements of a modern analytics platform. 
  • Review each project to ensure appropriate architectural oversight is provided from the beginning to end. 
  • Understand business requirements and create concrete technical specifications for the implementation 
  • Architect solutions that meet or exceed functional and non-functional requirements of the project 
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, have a clear understanding of strategic business requirements as well as deliver the following artifacts as needed: Conceptual, Logical and physical designs, interface designs, that include functional and non-functional requirements 
  • Work closely with wider internal and 3rd party IT teams to ensure that architectural elements of software releases are planned for, understood and supported as they transition from development to production. 
  • Consult with application and infrastructure projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify projects to accommodate the solution architecture 
  • Help troubleshoot, resolve and track end-user issues, providing third-line of support where necessary 
  • Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating modules 
  • Assist as needed to build and manage our data assets in the cloud in support of HCL's "cloud first” strategy. 
  • Provide recommendations and technical assistance to meet our strategic goals of simplification, standardization and automation.  
 
Qualifications
 
Minimum Requirements: 
  • 8+ years' experience in Systems Engineering and/or Systems Architecture 
  • 6+ years' experience in Enterprise Architecture 
  
 Critical Skills: 
·       6+ years' technical leadership in managing complex cloud projects 
·       5+ years' experience working in Linux, Unix environments 
  • 5+ years of enterprise level experience creating semantic layers for to access data from data warehouses and data lakes 
·       2+ years of cloud architecture experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform 
·       2+ years of experience writing Java or Python code 
·       2+ years of experience in Informatica Cloud or Dell Boomi or Mulesoft 
·       1+ years of microservices experience creating APIs for data access 
 
Additional Knowledge/Skills:
·       Experience with multiple tools and technologies in the data management and analytics space 
·       Healthcare background desired 
·       Agile background or SAFe experience desirable 
  • Capable of interpreting business requirements (both functional and non-functional) and understanding the impact they will have in solution design 
  • Capable of creating and delivering clear presentations and to facilitate workshops to gain and agree requirements and solutions 
  • Good understanding of underlying infrastructure components such as cloud IaaS and network architecture 
  • Proven track record of understanding and working closely with business clients to understand their needs and translate them into requirements

Education: 
  • 4-year degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience (Master's Degree preferred)
