Perform daily and project support for local area network and VLANs, Internet access and connectivity, network hardware and services, network security, server and workstation virtualization, SAN, printers, email system, disaster recovery plan and implementation; plan, requisition, and implement hardware and software on a timely basis using a project approach; assess, plan, and implement data center/computer rooms and equipment configurations; troubleshoot and resolve network problems; analyze, plan, and ensure sufficient capacity for service delivery; lead and conduct upgrades and migrations; lead the set-up and maintenance of hardware and software environments for Internet systems; track and troubleshoot network related issues; provide daily support to IT and end users; develop best practices and internal controls; develop and maintain up-to-date diagrams and documentation; oversee vendor and consultant activities; ensure that plans and statements of work are well defined and monitor deliverables; and perform related duties as required. Work beyond regular working hours, including weekends, as needed.

Four (4) year college degree in Management Information Science or related field; five (5) years of network experience and three (3) years as a lead Network Administrator, or an equivalent combination of both education and experience which meets the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Certifications in Microsoft/Cisco networking or security, ITIL, project management, or related areas, a plus.
Extensive skills and knowledge in Windows 2012/2016 Server and Active Directory administration; configuration and installation methods of bridges, routers, switches, firewalls, and servers; Microsoft Exchange 2016 and Outlook; Symantec NetBackup; TCP/IP; VPN; Linux, Cisco switches and configuration; knowledge and skills in Citrix remote access, SAN management, MAC shared services; skilled in Internet and intranet practices, tools, security, and controls, and in web server management and Microsoft IIS for web services; ability to generate and interpret complex information and make and implement appropriate recommendations; ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere; communicate effectively orally and in writing, and to listen actively.

Two (2) years of work experience as a Network Engineer-Intermediate; Help Desk Service Specialist-Intermediate (1BG2); Systems Administrator-Intermediate; LAN Administrator- Associate; Network Engineer-Associate may substitute for all of the required experience.
