Summary
Keep assigned areas, such as office, commercial, industrial, or institutional building in clean and orderly condition. Work successfully with fellow employees & others. Understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written. Explain how to complete a task, understand instructions for task using basic communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stops at risk behavior of others and self.
Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
Perform repetitive tasks.
Maintain clean work area.
Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
Take direction and respond to supervision.
Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
Fill in during staff shortage.
Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
Use proper personal protective equipment.
Present a professional appearance and conduct.
Understand customer service and satisfaction.
Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
Completed all safety and task training certification.
Language Skills
Ability to Read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. Ability to print clearly and communicate effectively.
Mathematical Skills
Know how to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as, cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc.
Reasoning Ability
Apply logic and knowledge to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Be able to deal with routine situations with only few or no changes. Recognize and understand safety signs and building warning systems. Understand safety requirements, understand & meet company handbook expectations. Ability to learn the operation and care of vacuum cleaners and other janitorial equipment. Take care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces. Work is routine & repetitive.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Required to have a valid driver’s license, if driving own vehicle on business time or company vehicle. Will also be required to have proof of vehicle registration and insurance. Maybe required to be forklift certified.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to change tasks or assignments outside normal duties. Work in a team environment. Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus.
