Position Description **This is a part time position, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday's only. ** *The File Clerk is responsible for the maintenance and organization of employee files and any other documents to be organized or filed in the Office of Human Resources.* * Follow policies and confidentiality decisions to safeguard data and information. * Alphabetize, sort, and file incoming material such as new hire paperwork, transcripts, verifications, and performance evaluations according to the office file system, content, dates, significance, etc. * Search for and investigate information contained in the files, keep files current, and supply information from file data or remove files upon request. * Find and correct errors. * Date stamp incoming paperwork * Monitor inventory and report shortages * Answer phone when needed and direct calls * Greet customers in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner *
Skills Required * Must possess knowledge of filing systems * Must be dependable with a respect for confidentiality and policies * Must possess a very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, and office equipment such as photocopier, scanner, and fax machine. * Must possess the ability to perform repetitive skills * Must have excellent communication skills * Must pay close attention to detail * Must be thorough, motivated, collaborative, and flexible. * Must be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
