Position Description DMHAS is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented researcher and evluator. This candidate is responsible for research analysis using SAS, and provides sustained support for Research and Evaluation for the specified projects. Ability to prepare statistical reports and integrated summaries, excellent research and communication skills is required. Scope of Responsibilities This candidate for this position would be expected to contribute in the following areas: • Conduct research analysis. Utilizing public health data, design research projects and analyze data for all ad-hoc divisional, departmental, or the New Jersey Legislature requests. • Independently design and construct research reports for drug court population in New Jersey including consumers served in programs funded by DMHAS. This candidate would use quantitative tools to identify trends, monitor changes and pinpoint discrepancies between the court, service provider and payment systems. • This individual would assist a senior research staff; produce research reports and documents required for special projects.
Skills Required Skill Sets/Competencies The candidate will need a specialized set of skills and competencies in the following areas: • This position requires excellent experience in data management and statistical analysis using SAS, SPSS, MS-Access and advanced statistical techniques. SAS certificate is desired. • Ability to merge, clean and manage data, interpret statistical results and findings, prepare integrated summaries and write clear reports and comprehensive technical documents to clearly communicate key outcome measures.
