Position Description We are seeking to fill a position in the Records Management Imaging Lab. The individual will be doing clerical tasks associated with scanning and indexing of documents. The hardware configuration includes a workstation and production scanner. The project will be dealing with a broad range of documents. The staff person will need to understand the basics of these documents in order to properly organize and work with both the paper and eCopy versions, to ensure a quality result. They will be working as a member of a 4 person production team where good communication and collaboration is required, again to ensure a quality result by the team as a whole.
Skills Required This position requires good keyboard skills together with the ability to quickly look at a document on-screen and locate the required information that needs to be typed into the appropriate index field. The selected individual will have good detail skills and the ability to maintain their focus while doing repetitive tasks. It is also important that they communication skills needed to work as part of a small production team. They will also need to take pride in the quality of their work and be interested in learning new technical skills.
