Description: The purpose of this position is to support the development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of the Maricopa County Department of Public Health Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and other preparedness related activities in the Office of Preparedness and Response (OPR) to ensure that emergency response contacts, resources, procedures and responsibilities are documented in all applicable plans in order to support the operation of the Public Health Incident Command Center to effectively meet emergency response and recovery needs At direction of OPR Planning Supervisor or Emergency Planner; research and develop strategies, procedures or plans pertaining to Public Health Emergency Response Planning resources specific to the Access and Functional Needs (AFN) groups. Collaborate with new and existing internal and external Public Health partners for the development of procedures or identification of procedural gaps, and the collection of AFN data and groups for inclusion in plans. This may include, but is not limited to, maintenance of database(s) of contact information, assist with meeting development and facilitation, identification of new partners and maintaining existing relationships. Facilitate and or coordinate meetings, site visits or other activities with external partners to support the OPR improvement plan and established grant work plan. Collaborate with the OPR team on the development and submission of grant reports related to the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) and other Public Health Preparedness activities such as Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).
