We have full-time permanent Medical Technologist/CLS Salary is dependent on experience: $60,600-$80,000. Responsible for the daily operations of the laboratory. This includes supervising staff, performing testing, reporting test results, maintaining policies, procedures and quality control practices in the laboratory. Responsible for the operation of complex equipment and computers. Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently. When needed is able to provide coverage for all sections and all shifts. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology or Microbiology. • Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: National and State Licensure in Medical Technology • Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Proficient in many applications of the computer system to include, word documents and spread sheets. • Experience: One year of professional laboratory experience in a formal laboratory setting. Essential Functions:
Performs all testing as requested by the providers in a timely and accurate manner. Reviews results prior to release for clerical errors or erroneous results.
Communicates clearly with all personnel of MDMH. Answers phones and assists providers, nurses and patients with any questions or concerns they may have.
Proficient with all current methodology and operating procedures. Ability to troubleshoot, make repairs, call for technical assistance when needed.
Performs specific functions as assigned. Examples: Review monthly maintenance log, Quality Control and reagent logs for accuracy and make corrections as needed relays this information to the visiting pathologist. Monitor supplies, shelf life and maintain a safe working environment. Perform proficiency testing within acceptable limits and complete technical competency and continuing education as required.
Assists the lab manager in laboratory projects and complete them in a timely manner.
Employees demonstrates adherence to the laws and regulations passed by official regulating bodies, general principles of ethical conduct and internal policies and procedures.
