Position Description: Provides advanced audio visual support for specialized equipment including classroom technology and live event support. Maintains the storage, security and inventory of AV equipment. Coordinates delivery and setup of portable AV equipment. Maintains work records, requisition materials, equipment and supplies. Provides technical support for video classes, internet streaming, video teleconference connection alternative delivery systems, and supports live events. Participates in the planning and installation of classroom AV equipment. Performs equipment preventative maintenance procedures. May participate in AV and graphics production projects. AV ent support including planning, setup, operation and strike of AV equipment in a production environment. Provides customer service, training, and support to faculty, staff and students via phone, email and in person. Responds to service requests, troubleshoot and diagnose problems and assist with utilization of hardware, software and multimedia equipment. Collaborates with others on a variety of technology support projects. Provide instruction on basic functions of technology tools in a one-on-one environment and may lead formal instruction courses. Installation and delivery of computer hardware, software and AV equipment using pre-established standards. Skills Required: Evidence of strong customer service skills Possess knowledge of basic audio visual equipment troubleshooting Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems

Skills Preferred: Knowledge of control configuration for audio visual systems Knowledge of audio visual equipment installation methods Knowledge of maintenance and repair as related to classroom audio visual systems

Experience Required: Two years experience providing audio visual services Knowledge and understanding of audio visual technologies including projectors, document cameras, control systems, and audio equipment Experience supporting audio visual for live events

Education Preferred:

Additional Information: Position may require: climbing, crouching, crawling, lifting, pushing, pulling, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Work is performed in both the field and in an indoor office environment with moderate exposure to hazardous physical conditions (such as mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibration, etc.); moderate exposure to environmental conditions (such as disruptive people); and moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, movement restrictions or intense noise.
