Responsibilities:
Looking for a VBA/SQL Developer with at least 5-7+ years of experience. As a VBA/SQL developer the person will be responsible for design and development of new applications and enhancements\maintains to current applications perform on projects of moderate to high complexity that impact multiple departments, systems, or work flows. Must have strong knowledge and development experience with Excel\VBA and SQL server. Experience in .Net is a big plus.
  • Document data flow, data mappings, calculations, and flowchart all the process for Excel models. Enhance, maintain, processes which build analytic data assets in Excel and SQL server. Automate and improve commonly conducted analysis and calculations, and strategy development.
  • Responsible for all project lifecycle phases, from specifications and coding through deployment, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Create VBA programs and stored procedures to implement business requirements.
  • Develop GUI interfaces using VBA Excel programs.
  • Extensively use Excel functions in development, focusing on read/write integration to databases.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science or related area.
  • Proven background on MS Excel VBA Programming and coding.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA); macros, user-defined functions, Evaluates and troubleshoots existing VBA-enabled templates to fix defects and optimize execution.
  • Strong knowledge of databases, including Oracle SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Expert in database design, writing complex SQL Queries, Stored procedures, preparing DDLs and DMLs.
  • Proven background completing projects under aggressive financial and time constraints.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in .Net is a big plus.
  • Star schema structures knowledge is a plus.
  • Insurance Industry knowledge is a plus.
