Position Description: a temp to hire opportunity. The hours of this assignment are Monday - Friday from 8:00 A.M. - 4:40 P.M. The essential functions of the assignments is located below. SCOPE: This position is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with the planning of activities for maintenance in the Affordable Housing program. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated technical knowledge of basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical, pest control, carpentry, and painting skills; Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools; Ability to handle emergency and high pressure sensitive situations in a professional demeanor; Ability to resolve complex and time sensitive problems in an efficient and timely manner; Exhibit overall dependability to able to consistently meet deadlines; and Demonstrated ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.

This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required. • Assist in the coordination of the day-to-day maintenance activities needed to maintain the Affordable Housing units and grounds in clean and Gold Standard condition; • Inspect the property grounds, buildings, and common area amenities to maintain safety and cleanliness standards and to identify issues requiring maintenance, repair or replacement. Ensure timely completion of maintenance repairs; • Promptly communicate with Maintenance Supervisor concerning all maintenance issues at the properties; • Assist in the development, monitoring, and completion of preventive maintenance schedules; • Complete special projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor; • Promote Gold Standard customer service by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents at all times; • Ensure that policies and procedures as well as safety and compliance expectations are being followed during the completion of maintenance repairs; • Foster a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, community stakeholders, and Affordable Housing staff; • Travel throughout Hamilton County to attend meetings or perform other job functions during work and/or non-work hours; and Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience Required: Three (3) years’ experience in building or property maintenance; • Exhibit overall dependability to able to consistently meet deadlines; and • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Education Required: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent experience. •
