Summary:
The Client Support Associates serves as an integral part of our clients'
overall relationship with Calamos Investments. Using state of the art technology, the Client Support Associate is equipped and empowered to assess and resolve client issues and requests. Typical daily activities include supporting the sales force by proactively calling segmented and unsegmented advisors and providing information and education on Calamos products and services while assessing business development opportunities. Other responsibilities include researching of client transactions, processing client requests, helping clients navigate account features, providing issue resolution, responding to inbound client inquiries, and assisting other Calamos operations, marketing and service departments.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provides proactive sales and service support to current clients and future prospects. This involves extensive telephone (both inbound and outbound calls) contact and documentation of activities in the client management database.
  • Promotes products, strategies and value added services effectively by phone. Utilizes our fund analysis and other systems as needed to strategically leverage our client offerings.
  • Assists with the implementation of sales force client marketing plans.
  • Works closely with sales teams and national accounts on the development and implementation of these plans, especially as requested for calling campaigns.
  • Identifies key prospects in sales territories. Communicates appropriate qualified leads to sales force and provides proactive follow-up when appropriate.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Calamos investment management philosophy, industry events, and recent developments impacting clients and presents solutions in order to enhance the distribution business model.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required in business or other related discipline.
  • Series 63 and 6/7 licenses preferred.
  • 2 – 3 years experience in the financial services industry required.
  • An excellent understanding of investment products is preferred.
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, superior sales skills and an excellent client service aptitude and attitude.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment with the ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Must have a professional approach towards the job/career.
