Balfour Yearbook Sales Representative
Balfour Publishing is expanding our salesforce and we're looking for motivated sales representatives to join our team of successful business owners. This opportunity in Educational Sales provides you the option to own your own business in an established territory with existing customers, and tons of growth potential!

Do you remember the excitement you felt when you received your yearbook each year? We get to bring that feeling to our customers, every day. We work with schools in all 50 states. Our customers are Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, Junior High Schools, High Schools, Colleges and Universities. As a Sales Representative, your workday would consist of visiting schools and working with yearbook advisers and staffs in a large well established territory. We are an amazing company, with awesome customers, and top-notch products.
Our specifics of this role will include:
Acquiring technical skills and gaining program/product knowledge
Prospecting and growing market share in your territory
Managing existing accounts at various stages of production
Daily travel to schools, both customers and prospects
Client customer needs for yearbooks and related products relevant to customer needs
Training customers on Balfour technology and tools
Keeping schools on task to meet their deadline schedule
As an Educational Sales Rep, you must combine a competitive spirit with a positive and influential personality and enjoy working in all types of schools, both public and private, from preschool to college.
Strong candidates should demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to this sales opportunity. You must be highly organized and detail-oriented with unique problem-solving skills and a strong capacity for creative thinking. It is also important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to easily establish rapport and credibility with a wide range of potential customers.
Specific qualifications for the role include:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism or Education.
Effective written, verbal and presentation skills.
Ability to sell to new and prospective customers.
Excellent computer literacy skills and proficiency in design software.
Willingness to travel and work independenty.
Training, teaching, and/or coaching experience preferred.
A minimum of one year sales experience.
