MBIST /DFX Design Engineer

Common Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop RTL for MBIST (Memory BIST) and BISR (Built-In Self-Repair) modules
  • Use commercial tool to generate MBIST/BISR blocks.
  • Work with RTL owners to incorporate MBIST/BISR logic in functional blocks
  • Help verify functionality through simulation and debugging
  • Work with custom circuit team to define and implement MBIST/BISR features on custom arrays, and verify the library fed into the tool reflecting the physical design of the memory macro correctly
  • Design Shared MBIST bus to connect MBIST controller to the memory macros.
  • Develop MBIST timing constraints for physical implementation
  • Create simulation model for custom memory macros.
  • Help verification team in doing gate-level simulation (GLS) including SDF based GLS as well as debugging the mismatches.

Requirements
  • MSEE and 10+ years relevant experience (or equivalent education and experience)
  • 8+ years' experience working in the DFT or MBIST/BISR area
  • Strong knowledge in all aspects of the DFX domain from concept through design implementation and ATE application.
  • Experience with ATPG modelling, experience in memory modeling is a plus
  • Experiences on some MBIST design is a must. Familiarity with the commercial MBIST/BISR tools is desirable but not a must. The commercial MBIST tools include Mentor Graphic Tessent MBIST or Synopsys STAR Memory System
  • Hands-on experience with the followings and/or other comparable DFT tools is a plus: DFT compiler, DFT max TetraMAX, VCS.
  • Good scripting and programming skills in Tcl, Perl, C, or Python
  • Good knowledge and experiences on physical design tools and flow
  • Good planning and organizing skills in keeping project and tasks on track
  • Must work well in a team oriented environment and be a good team player
