The Data Analytics Specialist is part of the Business Management group in Samsung Semiconductor Inc. HR Department.
A successful candidate will be a strong analytical thinker with a solid business analysis background to drive complex and insightful analysis. This candidate will work independently, without much supervision, to gather and analyze data, use judgment to interpret the results and to proactively identify areas to investigate.
  • Responsible for collecting, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting information from all available sources to advance business management of the HR department
  • Produce data-sets and ad-hoc analysis reports from various databases at the request of business management, VP of HR, and other HR functional units
  • Perform processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Set up and maintain standardized HR reporting for internal HR and external business units
  • Identify key insights from data, prepare well-documented presentations and share with internal/external stakeholders
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
  • Work on multiple ongoing projects, with minimal oversight, documentation, and defined process
  • Lead or support data analytics/metric improvement initiatives
  • Prioritize and manage multiple, simultaneous and often urgent requests
  • 50-70% deliver and maintain HR operational metrics, dashboards and ad hoc requests
  • 30-50% deeper analyses, with external guidance and mentoring, as needed
Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead large analyses and to develop insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Use judgment to interpret the results and to scope investigation
  • Clear, effective communication to various corporate roles
  • Written, verbal, and visual presentation of data
  • Strong Excel, Powerpoint, and presentation skills
  • Independently execute Intermediate-to-advanced data analysis, correlations, combining multiple data sets
  • Incredible attention to detail
  • HR and Talent Planning experience preferred
