Purpose of Team/Key Projects: Working on relaunching the consumer app in conjunction with peer to peer payment platform. The AWF will be working with the manger on this project.

We are looking for a rockstar marketing specialist to join the North America Consumer Marketing team from June to August. The team is responsible for growing the US consumer business, pulling levers within Marketing as well as Business Development, Pricing, Product, etc. As a Consumer Marketing Specialist, you will work on one of the most exciting product launch campaigns, impacting the way consumers move money.
You will be responsible for turning the vision set by Go to Marketing Plan into reality, driving creative development and partnering closely with Marketing Operations & Analytics to execute campaigns across a range of channels. You will measure results and make recommendations to drive future success post launch.

This is a really create opportunities to launch something new. They are launching a new product that will go out to 60 million + PayPal users. This will change the way people send and receive money. This is a highly visible large project that will give the worker a good sense of what consumer marketing is like.

  • Experience in creative development with internal/ external creative agencies
  • Mature and capable of building strong working relationships with internal PayPal partners (Marketing Operations, Analytics, Brand, Product, Channel Marketing) and exhibit highly effective communication skills
  • Act as a self-starter with ability to proactively own and drive project and delight in moving from ideas to tangible results in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience with PayPal is highly preferred. Prior marketing experience with big tech or payments products/ financial services company is a plus

Years of Experience: 3-6 years of experience in executing marketing strategy, particularly in direct-response channels such as email and paid digital media, partnering closely with Marketing Operations in campaign execution and Analytics in test design and campaign measurement.
Degrees or Certifications: Bachelor's Degree
Best vs. Average: someone who is experience in marketing. Having the marketing fundamentals, someone who can really execute and have demonstrated experience in that. Someone who has worked cross functional with teams and can interact with all cross functional partners. Someone with a professional acumen and has the drive to get people to listen and participate and be able to influence that.
Performance Indicators: getting things done in a timely manner, smooth working relationships with all of the cross functional partners

Typical Task Breakdown/Rhythm: there will be a lot of standard marketing campaign work. Working with marketing operations team to executive on the campaign, making sure there is timely feedback provided to the creative team, filling out customer service requests, etc. There will be lots of work involving the CPMs on the team.
Interaction Level with Team: Highly interactive role. There is a lot of cross functional work, they will be working with different teams
Work Environment: This is a smaller more intimate environment. It is open space seating. The noise level is moderate. It is more on the quieter side
Chance for Flex Hours/Remote: Hours are fairly standard 9 -5. The HRM works on the earlier side with the rest of the team. A majority of the team is east coast based.
Chance for Extension: this will be a 3month assignment based on when the worker is able to start. Extension past 3 months depends on budget and performance.
